Knee Update:
Today I went in to see the doctor after feeling major pain following my 13.22-mile run yesterday. The verdict? Bursitis and a Grade 2 MCL strain. I knew something was off right after the run, and unfortunately, I was right.
The current plan: leg elevated, alternating ice, and ibuprofen to reduce inflammation. I’m allowed to teach my classes but not participate—so no cycling, no running, no jumping. Just slow and steady. I taught Pilates this morning, and let’s just say—it wasn’t pretty, but I gave it my all.
I’ll be heading back in next Monday to reevaluate. If the swelling hasn’t improved, we’ll dig a little deeper to rule out anything more serious.
Honestly, this is probably my body’s way of saying, “Enough already!”—after pushing through 12+ classes a week, running marathons on a treadmill, and never really taking time off. So now it’s time to recover smart, listen to my body, and come back stronger.
Resting isn’t exactly in my DNA—but healing is the priority right now.
