First swim back

Ok I will admit I was a little nervous about this, it's only been 4 weeks 3 days from my hysterectomy  and 3 weeks from my hematoma procedure however, when you have a passion for something there is no excuses and when you roll with your instincts you see how it goes..  My first 25 yards was like ok don't stretch out to much, watch the pull and DO NOT rotate in the hips to much; all the sudden with those thoughts in my head I look at my watch and see 1700 yards; I felt amazing, so I went to 2500 nice and easy. I stopped a couple times to stretch out and then back at it..
My incision looks great I'm pretty sure it's closed (well it better be)..  I can sneeze now with out feeling like I'm Going to pass out I don't move as fast as I did yet but it will come one day at a time...

"Respond to every call that excites your soul" listen to every whisper that awakes your hear, follow every opportunity that creates wonder and energy within you. You never know exactly where life will lead you so take every moment and enjoy, follow the gut instinct that tells you to give something a shot and allow the wonder of what's to come. ☀️

4 weeks post surgery

Today is 4 weeks post recovery from my hysterectomy/3 weeks from my hematoma; I have to say it feels amazing to get up at 4:00-4:15 AM to go work on my fitness goals as much as I can, but then to top it off nothing like adding more hours to my life in so many ways. #gettingbacktome #training #ironmantraining #slowisok #noexcuses #dowhatyoucanwithwhatyouhave #mommyintraining #ironmanlouisville #onedayatatime ☀️😉🏊🚴👟💕💪

Fearless......

Fearlessness is about getting up one more time than we fall down. The more comfortable we are with the possibility of falling down, the more fearless we will be, and the easier our journey will become. Without fear, we can’t have courage. 😉☀️ I love my bracelet..

"Back in the saddle again!"

Today woke up at 4:15 I couldn't wait to get to my Studio and ride. I got on the bike and and yikes as soon as I stood up, I couldn't believe the feeling OUCHY! So stayed seated my heart rate was crazy I haven't seen 156 on my bike for awhile (well for what I was doing). I rode and did TRX with my athletes. I have to say the TRX will for sure help me get back to where I need to be for IRONMAN KY..
Cycling 1:35
TRX Training 24 min.
Finished my evening with my Plank whoooooo held just a little bit longer then last time. I can't believe how hard it is.... It almost makes ya want to cry however, knowing I will get stronger and stronger everyday.. There's no need for tears only strength!

Now that I can get down on the ground... "SLOWLY" I thought ok let's see how long I can hold a low plank.... "Yep, you can do anything for 30 sec.'s!" It's a start, everyday is better and better; looking at being that butterfly! 😉☀️
How does one become a butterfly? You must "want" to fly so much you are willing to give up being a caterpillar. ☀️

Loving my new shirts!!

Starting slow

Taking 3 weeks off has been tough really, really tough!! So starting back slowly, I thankfully have now 11 weeks to IRONMAN getting my program together.
Thankfully this happened-

Yep, PATHETIC I know! 😀 Went to see how much it would cost to color my hair "you know get the gray's out😉", they said well over $100.00 because of the length. "Mmmm nope" so I picked up two boxes of these, I'm doing it myself.....I have a 2017 IRONMAN to pay for..

Getting organized.....

The things you are passionate about are not random. They are not insignificant. They are YOU! Getting my week(s) ready for Ironman Boulder #postivevibes #ironmanboulder #surgery #mentaltraining  #coach #trainer #athlete #coachathlete

Sometimes when things are out of your control....

All depends on the Doctor on July 13th... 🙏🏻
🏊🏻🚴🏻👟

8 days out- back to driving!! Wahooooo

8 days out from surgery- I'm feeling so good, I'm able to be with my lil's more and more. 💗I think after hearing I don't have cancer I'm going to heal much faster 💪🏻.. Today I walked a slooooooooow 5 miles and I can't tell you how good it feels. It's amazing how we take little things for granted like putting on our own shoes, tying them, getting dressed by yourself, bringing your arms up over head, yada, yada it's just the little things....
I still can't sleep flat I have to sleep 1/2 way sitting up and I have to wear a brace around by belly all the time however, I'll take it and everything else because it's WAY better then CANCER!! 😉

Tough but getting it done...

9 days out from surgery- Life is about balance between learning from the past but not getting caught up and stuck in it. Focussing your energy on learning and implementing new habits and behaviors to get you to where you want to be..☀️ 6 miles walking done!!

Friday, July 08, 2016

With every sunrise, rises a new opportunity. "Seize it!" Happy Friday ☀️

8 days out- I  feeling great, 4 miles done. I wear a brace to help me move, lower abdominals do get sore/puffy, and I need to be careful with my hipflexors they pull a lot..
I haven't had IBP for 3 days and drinking lots of water. Trying to get my hemoglobin back up with iron pills, orange juice, fruit, and hamburger everyday!!
I still get tired in the afternoon and keep my legs up as much as I can.

7 days out of surgery...

"I'm SO EXCITED!" Feeling amazing 2 miles done, it must be the fast pants and finding out everything came back "NEGATIVE for CANCER" wahooooooo!!! #cancerfree #injury #ironmanboulder #ironman #feelinggreatful🙏

I'm going to give it all I can... IM Boulder is 33 days out, a lot can happen in 33 days!!

Focus- there will be moments that will test you. There may be situations that may want to break you. There will be people who don't understand you. But little do they know, you don't get this far by accident. One step at a time. One day at a time. FOCUS over distractions. Be smart on your training. Because that's what it takes to live the dream. #upandwalk #injury #surgery #ironmanboulder #onedayatatime #godswithus

Little note sent to IM Boulder

Seeing what my options are-

Day 5 recovery

I can't tell you how hard it is to do nothing, how the hell can people do it? I stop taking all pain medication, but keeping up with my iron my hemoglobin when I left was at an 8.6 so I need to build my blood back up...
Today's walk was .75 felt good and then rest, rest, rest.....

Day 4 time for a walk...

God doesn't promise us a pain free life or free from suffering but HE DOES promise us HE is with us every step of the way..... Walking to the sun .50 walk 😉☀️🇺🇸 #walktothesun #recovering #walking #halfmile #day4recovery #happyfourthofjuly
