Madison 13.1

This race is always cold however, i think this year was the coldest lol....

2019 Monster Dash

What a race Sue and I have been doing this race for a long time along with my Sister (working), My aunt and uncle (getting ready for NYM) this year Amanda joins us for her first Monster Dash and what a great run time we had!
Starting from the night before we go to the Mall of America shop all over, head back to our hotel where i'm so lucky to have started hot flashes (oh my gosh) those girls are going to freeze because i have the air at 66 lol... The heat goes on after they see it lol.
The morning of the race was cold (32) however watching people and their crazy/fun costumes, us joking around you really didn't pay attention. The leaves were amazing on the race course, the road was crappy you really had to watch where you were running, the course is amazing though.

Back at it and updating blog!!

Fast and short race report...
2017 - What a priceless, priceless Ironman!
This morning our group was all together we stayed together until we got into the waves starts then we lost Tim it got a little crazy! As we all were in our wave correl a little sweet prayer was said then off to the water. I give my sister a huge hug told her I love her, stay in control, positive, I'll see you soon.. As we get into the water I'm watching her thinking ok I'll stay with her as much as I can "that's just the momma big sister on me" I tried for a bit and then noticed that wasn't going to work, so off I went. I have to say that swim was awesome, the only part I didn't like was coming back in that was a little hectic to be nice lol...Ran up the helix, volunteer Grabbed my bag and man oh man putting #fastpants on wet lol is not so fun..
Bike- I think I just love bumpy roads "NOT"    I felt great on the bike a few close calls other bikers almost running into me, a few drop of the chain, seat dropped down, my front break went out (but who needs those rightπŸ˜‰) and my right shoe clip broke... BYW that Barlow hill was so fun "wait along with all the other hills"..Riding back up the Helix was awesome, I see my Stepdad and Mom yelling for me at the top it's just so awesome seeing their faces I love you too thank you, thank you for always being there always!
Then an amazing volunteer grabs Thumper (my bike) and off I go to changing room, as  come running out Tina W. run up and says "Beth is out of the water and on her bike doing great!" Thank god I'm thinking as I getting choked up.. off to run I'm feeling good, then I hear my sister is almost off her bike, I slow down my run to a fast walk, I'm thinking if she's close we can connect up, well she was out a bit more then what the IM site was saying.
I finally hear she's off her bike, I'm at almost 11/12 miles I'm thinking ok I'll walk it until she's gets to me, I see her she fricken looks awesome! I said Beth keep that pace you'll catch me I'll slow down mine. Well as normal the miles become longer, I was told that's she's far out and you would have to wait 2 plus hours or so for her. I instantly got emotionalπŸ˜πŸ˜“ and started thinking crap, crap if I sit down and wait yikes that would kill me πŸ˜‰, then I picked it up "baby jog it in" I'm sure all of you know when you fast walk and go to a jog lol oh your muscles feel spectacular.😜 The greatest part on this walk/run was I seen all of my amazing athletes out there, they have no idea how much they inspire me in so many, many ways.
I finish I see my Mom and Step Dad yelling,  then I come into the finish I I see Dawn she had no idea what she did when she gave me that hug my ❤️was just filled with so much, I wanted to finish with my sister, and couldn't but then on the other hand I instantly thought what Mike Raily said to me "Your sister needs to do this herself", wait for her and metal her after I call her name; he was right I did need her to finish it and truly see how fricken tough she is!
So that's what I did I waited and seen her come across that finish line and stood right in the middle so she could see me tears of joy came running down our faces I was able to metal her, gave her a huge hug and congratulated her. I'm so fricken proud of her there's not enough words to describe it....
I love you BETHANNE, YOU ARE an IRONMAN!
A huge thank you to everyone who came out and cheered us all on!❤️

Ironman Boulder race 2017🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️πŸƒπŸ»‍♀️☠️
πŸš—Drive down- what a great time with Tracy we've been friends since high school catching up on so much and playing I spy with my brother and his family as they were on their way to Colorado to, that was so much fun!!
Friday we went down to the Ironman Village walked around, checked in, athlete meeting and drove the bike course.
Saturday morning, drop off bike, did a small open water swim and walked made it an "easy day."
Went and met up with my Family yada, yada....
Race morning...
Started out the morning at about 2:30 I just couldn't sleep, woke everyone up at 3:30 then my brother Rays calling me "you ready I'm standing out side waiting for you lol!" πŸ˜‚My next call Bethanne GetMovin "how ya doing you ready?" Me as ready as I'll ever be... ok I love ya talk to ya after the race.. πŸ’œ
Next I tried to eat a banana and peanut butter trying to keep my head on straight..
We leave the hotel get everyone picked up get down to the shuttles, dropped of bags and off on the bus and oh what a bus ride it was..
🏊‍♀️Started walking down to the swim start gave hugs, called my hubby told him I love him, did a quick plank star and off I went. I talked to so many athletes it was so calm and relaxing as we were all getting into line. I jumped into the water it was cold "not as bad as Alcatraz but cold" all the sudden I couldn't believe how I felt like I just couldn't get in the oxygen and it's not that feeling of pressure against your body from your wetsuit. So I had to keep my mind busy, so I thought about every person I tagged in the post that morning each time I went my a bouy that was theirs, got half way my calfs were cramping yikes, yikes "just keep swimming," you swam into people, people swam into you, you were never alone lots of boats, paddle boards, kayaks lots of support.
Came around the last corner here comes the waves 🌊 wowza... as I was coming in I'm thinking that had to be a longer swim had to be. As I see today it was 4439 yard swim. I knew it...
Run up the boat landing they pulled off my wet suit got up grabbed my swim to bike bag ran into the tent! Thank gosh I had I volunteer she helped me big time!!
Ran out get to that bike ran passed it back tracked grabbed it and off I went time to crush it!
🚴‍♀️-For all of my Ironman Bike each 20 miles is for my kids, granddaughter and Husband the last 14 for my family.
20- Tyler/Nova
20- Landen
20-Korbin
20- Elsie
20- Blane
14 miles is for my family and finish strong! I always think to myself "Don't back off if your tire pops your running it in."
My heart rate was crazy 184 to be exact, I couldn't get it down take deep breaths, take deep breaths then came around the corner looking at the mountains and wow it didn't look like you were going up hill but you were and then rocking out an amazing headache time to sing to myself Thunder, Thunder Struck let's go... The bike was hard, I stopped two times I just couldn't pee on my bike I just couldn't.. again it felt as if you were wearing a mask just less oxygen, I went through 6-8 bottles of hydration on the bike, salt tablets like crazy, champs and bananas. I always looked forward to seeing my Brother, Tracy, Bob, Victoria, and my Mom (I blew her a kiss each round) of the bike..
The volunteers were priceless!
As we were coming into town we were on the bike path what a disaster that's an I understatement, then coming into town that was worst!!!!
All I kept thinking get off this bike....
114 miles

πŸƒπŸ»‍♀️The Run was hot no air movement!
running in from my bike to the run another volunteer grabbed my bag and said can I help you? Me yes please, I asked for IBP I was a hurting unit, headache, ready to puke, dizzy yada, yada the volunteer said would you like a medic I can get one for you, you don't look that good... lol I said No I always look like this.....I'll try and run it off out I went mmmmmmm run it off hell no I couldn't run got to mile 4 yep puking, dizzy seeing awesome little stars✨ a medic came over can I help you? What's going on? I just said can I get IBP he said NO I can't, I can get you water... I started thinking get to the salt guys "now" so I walked as hard as I can to get there as soon as I did I some and that helped on off baby jogging, walking baby jogging walking just keep one foot in front of the other. I kept taking in Cola then pretzels, water and then at Mile 10 we could get our bags mmmm "heck yes", I have IBP in my bag took it thank gosh it helped out some.  I have to say seeing Tracy and my Brother the first loop was priceless, I could see on my brothers face a little bit of fear Danni you ok? Yep I am see you soon! I fricken could only baby jog 100 steps so I would baby jogged 100 steps and walked 100 steps that's all I could do so on and off counting to 100 run/walking.
Second loop I see my Tracy, Mom, Bob, Annette, Caleb, and Lil ☀️Niomi it was priceless!
As I was "power walking" Athletes kept saying "what the heck your determined and on a mission" mmmmmm heck yes to get this done and I have my "Shopping" shoes on lol!
πŸ˜‚
Each time I kept thinking your heart rate is at 130 you can run, as soon as I would start my legs were like "nope" and to try to breath NOPE! Then plan B "Frickin walk as fast as you can and get in under 13 hours."
I was so excited to look at my watch and see I was going to come in on time under 13 hours, the guy who ran in before me said if you sprint in I might have troubles, I said Sunshine go if I sprint I'll pass out and I have to get to that finish line to do my Sunshineplankstar so yada, yada!! πŸ˜‰ Now to recover and off to the next one, I can't wait! 😜☠️
I want to thank my amazing husband Blane Neher, Tracy Washington, MomVicki Hansen, Robert Hansen, Raymond Howell, Annette Cullum Howell, Caleb, Lil☀️Niomi, Kathy, Nick, to everyone who text, sent FB messages, called me and all of you for supporting and cheering me on! I'm so blessed in so many ways I love you all more then you'll ever know!πŸ’šπŸ’—
Now this was written in the car fast so I'll read it again later for spelling yada, yada..😜

Number 11 is in the books -Ironman Wisconsin 2019

Madison WI. 2019 race report (ruff draft!)
4:11 AM Wakie Wakie Sunshine’s it’s race day! Off to the race at 5:09 we dropped off our bags, went to our bikes everything looked good until I felt my tire was flat (Fuuuuuuuudge) I took a chance pumped it back up to 100 (praying it wouldn’t deflate again)..we went back by our bags dropped off nutrition, watches yada, yada seen Amanda said Hi to her let her know where we were meeting, seen my Step Dad let him know where we were then seen my mom and Victoria. Then seen Tim and Amy we all headed down together as they went on their way to line up for the swim I went mine. As I was standing there I started hearing athletes say there’s a fence how are we going to get in line? “It was a disaster”, so I jumped the fence and yada, yada in line I was. I handed off my extra pair off goggles to a volunteer thanked him for his time today and 1.2.3 go. Jumped in and thought shinikie it is cold; then ok let’s go, I stuck with my mental game! The waves reminded me of Escape from Alcatraz, it just wasn’t as cold. Athletes swimming over each other which didn’t bother me but I swear there’s always a stinker that has to grab, grab, run you over or yada, yada so this time this “sweetheart” grabbed my shoulder and pulled me back “man what was he thinking he was going to fly 100 yards ahead of us?” I put my head up and said “seriously” he looked at me and said “sorry!”
Off I went, I felt I couldn’t go to fast at all, the waves and me taking in some extra hydrating (swallowing the water) and I still not being able to kick ugh! My new mantra  became -left, right don’t kick, left, right, do NOT kick..... Because when I did it would turn into “oh balls” I instantly remembered I have two stinking fractures in my ankle and foot let those legs just float!!! I kept telling myself, stay in control, as the waves were even crazier on the back end of the swim, just keep those arms moving, keep moving, keep moving, go, go, go!
As I swim in as far as I could a volunteer grabbed my hand and helped me up. Off to have people “SHUCK” your wetsuit off ya “yep you read that right “SHUCK” like a pc of corn... laid down and Wala “wetsuit off” they handed it to me said have a great race and off to my first “run” the helix, I seen so many people I knew I really want to thank all of you for telling our my name or hearing “GO SUNSHINE Go!”
In the changing room 1- yep I’ll tell ya how it is take the swim suit off and a volunteer helps your get dressed as your in nakedness “yes nakedness” and drying off with a towel, you ever try and get dressed wet??? Yikes!
Thankfully dressed ready to rock and roll with my weapon or better known as “red lighting” I gave the volunteer a hug and gave her a coffee gift card and off I went to the the awesome Porta potty and this time I didn’t open the door on a guy!! Pee, wipe, wash GOoooooo, grabbed my bike and off I went.
Bike - As some of you know I did get a new bike about 2 weeks prior to my race and “man oh man I LOVE IT,” so I really couldn’t wait to ride it 112 miles. I didn’t even think of my tire. Down the helix I go as we all stayed single file on the sidewalk down into the alignment center than after that it was game on.. zoom, zoom baby!
As I got to mile 20 my stinking headache started back in (I’ve had a migraine for the past few days), I started sweating more, drinking water, Powerade and thinking grab my Dayquill and/or IBP in my bag as I did I couldn’t get it out of the container so I just kept riding drinking yada, yada. About mile 50 ok I had to try again well this time I dropped the bottle “it’s gone” ok I’m thinking get to mile 57 where our bags are I’ll stop there because I know I have some in my bag. Well I get there and none I put it in my 13.1 run bag ugh!!! So I waited in line for the bathrooms talked with some amazing athletes ate some gummy bears and off I went! I was so excited to see my lil’s out there with my hubby and my father in law!! A quick wave and blowing them kisses on the first loop..
The ride was so fun yes there was awesome winds, gravel 😜 and me riding like Lance Armstrong in the grass and thankfully saving it... Which I really can’t believe I did, but I did knew was going to do it before it happened, I was going down hill a little to fast for the corner and didn’t make it all the way around, as I got back in the road a guy said to me “I’ve never seen some one do that great bike handling skills.” ....Lol I was thinking πŸ’©thank god I made it and no flat tire lol!!
A little “ok a lot” of cramping on the bike but just kept my legs moving push down, pull up I was saying to myself over and over... I did have Base salt on the bike I took in that trying to get the cramps to go away.. I kept my mind off it by Thinking a lot about my family, Sully and his family.
I have to say the marshals were incredible out there, yes they were watching for everything, and I seen 2 athletes get yellow cards which they rightfully deserved as their 3 people train came flying by us....
Second loop I had to sloooooow way down give my lil’s high fives and let them know I love them. I at the last min. See my mom and stepdad out there with my niece Victoria they all smiled and said Go Danni Go!
A little more salt and ride, ride, ride ... I have to say I never had that feeling of man I want to get off this bike..
As I came in I road up the helix like it was mine zoom zoom baby!
I came up volunteer grabbed it gave Frances a huge hug waved at people as the called my name and into the room I went.
Changing room 2- again grabbed my bag ran into the room, volunteer poorer out my goodies -decided to keep my #fastpants on but my belt on, different watch on, visor on, tried to put my brace on it didn’t fit in my shoe soooooo sock on, shoes on, brace in my running pack. Gave my volunteer a coffee gift card and a hug with a thank you and off to the best part of the day day-The Run well mine a baby jog, run walk get the heck through it....
I really felt great the first few miles, well until mile 5/6 then the ankle became a little bit more of a nuisance “oh shinkies” walk fast/baby job on and off talked with lots of people out there said thank you to volunteer yada yada. As I came up on the little point of the run I see my family my lil’s gave me a hug and kiss they ran with me until the loop around and ran back in by dad gave high fives and off I went.
As I came up on mile 13 I see my sister Woot, Woot, I’m thinking just catch up to her and we can walk baby jog together however, I couldn’t catch her (her pace was fast) and my ankle was of fire! As I kept on off on off of running I finally catch up to her at mile 20 or so gave her a hug and said “HI Beautiful!” Let’s do this we power walked together for 6 miles the time was priceless yes I know it’s a race but races are all over, time with my sister during an Ironman is priceless we walked, laughed, talked about Sully and his family,  the swim, the bike and yada, yada..
As we came in where I would be finishing and she would kick butt doing the second half of her run, I have her a hug and said I love you and I’ll see you in just a little bit and off we went our separate ways. The crowed was crazy loud, I hear #thevoiceofironman Mike say "DannΓ―ela Neher You Are An Ironman" as I came running down the finishers shoot then I took a quick look back to make sure no one was behind me before I would do my plankstar- (I don’t ever want to steel from anything’s finish line photo by me doing that.) However, as I did that (look back) I seen my two other sisters yelling at me I thought omg I can’t be that dehydrated did I see them, I was so shocked and fully of joy!
I knew I was safe and I could do my plankstar and in that moment I thought thank you god and “this one was for you Cute Little Sully!
I jumped up and ran in, well then the world started spinning Francis Schmitz and John
both grabbed me I knew I was in a little bit of trouble, I let them know I was going to puke or pass out so off to the med tent I went and yep it went down hill from there.... (Frances and Tom thank you so much!)
Soon feeling better and  I was released I went to my family and my littles were able to put my medal on me I was so excited!!!!
I can’t tell you how blessed I am to be able to do this! I love that I can do this for myself but then also for others or to make awareness for things.
I love my life, and everything I’m blessed to have in it!
I can’t thank my husband Blane Neher enough for making my day so special, seeing my lil’s on the course is priceless to me but I know long and difficult for him and then to stay to the finish is a looooooong day for him and for them. I love you babes more then you’ll ever know “thank you!”
Vicki Hansen,  Robert Hansen, Victoria, Mariea Jones Cherish Jones , I love all of you more then you’ll ever know I thank you for being out there and making our day so special and thank you all for your support!

Thank you to everyone for all the calls, and messages I’m so blessed and never want to take that for granted! πŸ’«

I also want to thank Karley Marotta for doing the story on us for Sully I hope we’ve made an positive impact on that “Cute Little boys life!” ((Hugs)) to Jason and Emily!!

I have to say as much as I wanted the 11th hour for this Ironman, I came in the 11th in my age group, the number 11 is defiantly a positive number in everything!

Number 11 is done and in the books baby!
Now for number 12 (Ironman Legacy)!

Remember-  You can achieve anything you put your mind to and always do things for others, your heart will grow!”

2018 Ironman Louisville

"Someday I will not be able to achieve an IRONMAN however, today IS NOT that day!"
(10/14/18)

Louisville 2018 Race Report (ruff draft)
Performance Day or Persevere Day

Where to start, where to start?
As athletes were watching the weather for the last week, day, hour, min. until the start we all knew it was going to be cold and rainy but NOT as bad as it was.
4:28 AM "Morning Sunshine’s it's race day” as I say to Bethanne and Amanda (none of us slept at all that night) we get up and look outside "OH crap" the weather guy is right it's raining and it's 41 degrees the high for today will maybe get to 50 degrees, cold rain and 17-20 mph winds. People who really know me, know I don't do well in the cold at all however, I told myself today is a "Persevere day" and no matter what YOUR GOING TO SUCK IT UP BUTTERCUP and do the best you can!
As we walk down to the transition area Bethanne and I are both in socks we forgot our flip flops so it started out incredible, cold wet feet on the cold cement walking about a half mile to transition and then walking in the mud and wet grass as we get down there. Bethanne, Amanda and I all stayed together as we put things on our bikes and in our bags, we walked down to get body marked and walked down to the swim start together it was about 6:00 AM.  It was packed with athletes, friends and family. The race start time for athletes is 7:35 for Pro's they start at 7:15. So we go to the restroom, small talk and yada, yada and then off to our starting lines. As I gave both of them hugs, wished them luck and reminded them to stay STRONG we all have this.
I jump into line and meet a women name Bella and her Sherpa Katie we talked and talked and talked however, as we were standing there I noticed the helicopter going over us more and more and lowering down by the swim start, I'm thinking something is wrong it's 7:32 and nothings going on I said to Bella something is up. This is going to be interesting, as the rain was coming down and it was foggy out on the river, as soon as I said that a volunteer come over and said the swim has changed to a .9 mile everyone in our group as like NOOOOOOOOO, however, as soon as we heard the Pro's couldn't swim up stream because the current was so strong then our minds we like “what the HELL are we getting into” but then thinking wait thankfully the swim isn't canceled we can do this..
As we hear the canon go off for the pro's we started walking Sloooooooooly down to the docks it took us about 35 min to get to the swim start, they were letting athletes go 1, 2,1,2,1,2 and then when we seen what was going on in the water, that was incredible you seen big orange buoys floating down river and speed boats getting them, yes you read that right buoys floating down river.. Then all the athlete I was around starting gauging where to get in, and how they would swim it (because there was no buoys to stay on your left) as we watch Athletes get pushed into the bridge pillars, and others grab on to kayaks which they were struggling to stay in one spot you just knew jump in and go straight as much as you can... SO my turn I jumped in started swimming and yep the current brought me next to the bridge pillar however, there was more kayakers there to get Athletes, as you swam down stream it went fast
but because you were with the current you could over shoot the left turn, so you were running into boats and kayakers and them yelling at you to swim left to get into transition it was incredible. The volunteers were amazing they grabbed your hand and pulled you in, as I ran up a volunteer took my wet suit off, i ran and grabbed my swim to bike bag and knew it was going to be crazy in the transition tents there was not going to be enough volunteers as I get in there I see the tent bottom is all sand yes SAND and I'm thinking ok crap this is going to suck, I find a chair put my stuff down and start getting dressed on my cold, wet, sandy body I'm thinking yep I'm not the only one going threw this everyone women is, as I run out, I hurry up go into a porta potty and as I come out I slip and got mud all over, I instantly thought this is going to be fun, get to that darn bike and ride it's, it’s only 112 miles, thinking I can't control the weather however, I can control my mind and I'm going to be as positive every moment on that bike "lets go," I grab my bike run it down and jump on, off I went squinting my eyes as the rain was falling hard, riding through puddles, trying to get around athletes, by mile 10 I couldn't feel my fingers, I knew I had to stay in aero position because that's what was going to keep my core warm, as I get to mile 20 it went from raining to misting, I'm thinking ok grab your gloves in your back pocket, yeah right as I reached Back I couldn't reach them, my hands were so cold and the wind wasn't helping. I couldn't open my back pockets, so I pulled my long sleeve shirt as far over my hands as I could get it. Then about mile 30 I'm thinking I need to eat something, well that wasn't going to happen my hands were so cold I couldn't open my little baggy, so I had to get all my nutrition for my bottles and from all the volunteers on course so that's what I did.
The rain, mist, and winds were amazing at times you thought ok it's going to stop raining then it came down even harder, then when you went to pass Athletes you were so lucky to get water/mud in your face because it was coming of their back tire and if you went into aero down hill you got the same because it came off your front tire. By the time I got to my special needs bag I went right by it, there was NO WAY I was stopping and getting off my bike my legs were so cold and cramping. I knew if I stopped I would have situations to get back on the bike, as I went into the second loop I couldn't believe what I was seeing trucks, cars, vans with freezing cold Athletes in them and their bikes on the back I felt so bad for them and I remember thinking today was just not their day for whatever reason.
I pushed on, by mile 80 I had to pee so bad however, I can't pee on the bike and I know it was raining and no one would know but I couldn't do it. I road on playing mental games like find someone with an orange shirt, find some one with a blue shirt, yellow shirt, yada yada and pass them, I sang 3 songs to myself over and over, Imagine Dragons Whatever it takes, Natural, AC/DC Thunder, it's so funny I felt like I knew every word, because I sing them over and over with my lil's.
As I get to mile 100 I'm thinking you only have 12 mile to go, you can get your other fast pants on, go potty, come on get your butt going "YOU ONLY" have a marathon to babyjog/walk; and  again I say baby jog because “I don't do good in the cold” so I'm not going to put any pressure on myself.
As I drop my bike off, I baby jogged to my bike to run bag a sweet little girl hands it to me and says “great job, you look great” I silently laugh to myself because I know she was being so sweet, I thanked her for helping out today and off to changing room I went, yep take those wet, muddy pants off, vest off, socks off and then notice, I did't put dry socks in that bag ugh put back on my wet muddy socks and dry shoes on off I went.
I run out of the tent and again back to the porta potty thinking don't slip in the mud again..
Off to the run course I go, I knew I was going to have some situations my quads, calfs and Achilles tenants were cramping so much however, I knew I had to jog some of the marathon and power walk a lot of it because if I walked to long I would freeze. I also tried very, very hard not to look at any women's calfs because our age on them and I knew I was not going to be where I set out to be for that day meaning in the top 5 of my age group. As women and yes of course men were passing me it is what it is and I had to stay mentally focused on that finish line. Thankfully there were so many Coaches out there following their Athletes I asked one to follow up on Bethanne and Amanda so I knew they were close to being off their bikes as they told me where they were it was priceless. The run was slow, rainy, cold, and full of cramping the whole time at one point I went into the porta potty and as most of you know you really don't sit down in those however, as I hovered over it I fell back and yep my quads were cramping so bad, thank god they have those little bars in them to help you up and thank god there wan't any thing I sat on........Just sayin...
As I'm baby jogging I see Dawn, Chris, Les and then I see my sister, I almost cry I'm just so filled with joy, I let her know she looks good and I"ll see her soon. I come up on my second lap and then I see Amanda wooot, wooot the feelings are so amazing.....
As I'm running down 4 street I take a deep breath and take it all in, my legs were cramping all the way down the red carpet, I knew if I went down to do a plankstar I wouldn't be getting up as fast as I normally would or volunteers would have to come out and pick me up, as I looked back I seen there was another athlete to close to me so I made the decision not to do it, I in no way didn't want to take anything from that athlete running behind me and I also knew he was in much pain as I was.
As a volunteer Mike grabbed me I just stood there and said “THAT was AMAZING!” I just finished one of the hardest Ironman’s, he agreed with me, he said there was so many athletes that didn't finish and how yucky the day was..
As I went to get my Finishers Photo I was able to do my plankstar and yep Mike helped me up... lol

I knew I had a little time, so I hurried up got something to eat, went back to the hotel, Facetimed my husband and my lil Sunshine’s “I was so excited to see their little faces,”
I got cleaned up, and sat in a HOT bath for 15 min. Went and picked up the girls bikes and bags brought them back to the hotel and went back down there to watched and cheer on other athletes.
